On Monday, March 23 Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority (MTA) launched a 10-POINT PLAN effective through Saturday, April 11 to address the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on public transit in Macon-Bibb County — along with a promise to monitor ridership and reevaluate/adjust the Plan accordingly.

After our first full week of operation under the plan ridership was down, and as a result, beginning Tuesday, April 2 MTA will make the following changes.

1. The BELLEVUE route WILL continue to RUN AS SCHEDULED, 5:25 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. BELLEVUE EXPRESS WILL BE SUSPENDED until further notice.

2. During normal service, MTA runs three (3) buses on the EISENHOWER route. During the pandemic, MTA was running two (2) buses, and now will run one (1) EISENHOWER bus until further notice, from 5:20 a.m. – 12 noon and 12:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

For a complete list of MTA bus routes and schedules, visit our website: https://mta-mac.com/about-macon-transit/schedules/

Note: bus service will continue Monday – Saturday, like normal.

We appreciate the patience, understanding and support of our riders and the public during this challenging time.
