Enjoy MTA’s FREE FARE DAY on FRIDAY, MAY 20 as MTA partners with BIKE WALK MACON to promote a more earth friendly, bikeable, walkable Macon-Bibb County.

BIKE WALK MACON is encouraging Maconites to park their car for one day and commute using FREE PUBLIC TRANSIT, courtesy of the Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority, or by riding a bike, or walking to reduce air pollution, save money, and improve mental and physical health.

CAR-FREE DAY EVENTS• MTA’s FREE FARE DAY— FREE, UNLIMITED RIDES (fixed-route and paratransit) for all on Friday, May 20th.

• BAGELS & BIKES at Macon Bagels (470 Third Street) — Drop-in from 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. when BIKE WALK MACON and fellow commuters share ideas for enhancing biking and walking in Macon-Bibb County and chat about the benefits of alternative transportation options.

• MACON CAR FREE DAY PLEDGE — Join the movement to go car-free and reduce your carbon emissions. Help BIKE WALK MACON reach their goal of 200 Maconites car-free on May 20th by signing the car-free pledge at www.bikewalkmacon.com/
