If you’re looking for wholesome fun, travel through downtown Macon on Sparky to see the Main Street Christmas Lights Extravaganza — and the growth, enhancements and improvements throughout downtown. Day or night, the new one-hour, 8-mile Second Street Corridor route includes the Dannenberg Lofts, Ocmulgee Outfitters, Second Street Salvage, newly completed Second Street Bridge, new housing & senior towers on Plant Street which has transformed the area, the Mercer bridge – beautifully lit at night, Mercer Village, and the new housing on both sides of Oglethorpe Street.
