Kudos & congratulations to MTA transit planner, Wes Stroud, chosen as one of 20 Emerging City Champions! Everyone in the cohort will receive $5,000 for a pet project in their community.
Wes has chosen to revitalize the area around Roxy Park. Located on the outskirts of Downtown Macon, the Roxy Theatre was home to one of the city’s three historic black theatres. Wes’ goal? The creation of a pedestrian plaza and food park for food trucks. We look forward to watching the progress of the project.
