When we get compliments on our drivers we like to shout it out. Kudos to Paratransit driver Ronald Morris! Coincidentally, Ron, a proud graduate of Macon’s Southwest High School, celebrated his third anniversary with MTA on Friday, November 20, the same day MTA Paratransit manager June Slaughter got the call from a medical office affiliated with the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

The woman gushed over Ron, explaining how “the masked driver, making sure to sanitize, went above and beyond to assist the woman who was having difficulty getting into their medical office.” The employee and MTA’s rider were so grateful for Ron’s help.

Ron is an avid Chicago Bulls fan in basketball (check out his T-shirt on Casual Friday) and Pittsburgh Steelers/Green Bay Packers fan in football. Being a Paratransit driver is a tough job, made more difficult during the pandemic because of the risk of contracting the Coronavirus.

At MTA we love promoting great frontline employees, like Ron, who make us proud!
