The Historic Macon Foundation’s Thursday morning press conference on its Fading Five projects included their plans for the Roxy Theater, which also is the focus of MTA’s transit planner, Wes Stroud. Stroud, one of 20 Emerging Cities Champions was awarded a $5,000 grant and plans to create a park and pedestrian plaza complete with food trucks, which, in addition to creating a vibrant outdoor space, provides new opportunity for small businesses. We’re eager to see the finished space.
