The state of Georgia has a process of “curing” votes meaning voters who have an error on their ballot are contacted to see if they are interested in correcting the ballot.
If you were contacted directly by the board of elections you must make the correction and it must be received in the board of elections office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6.
Given that the deadline is today, you must go to the board of elections and make the correction there.
If you want to ensure that your mail-in ballot was received, check online at this website: https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.doLook on the right side of the page complete the information under MVP login and the status of your ballot will be revealed.
If there is an error, you can make the correction at the board of elections located at 2525 Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. For questions, call the board of elections: (478) 621-6622.
