MTA was honored to be visited by Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff on Tuesday, August 24.
At the time, we posted videos by 41NBC and WGXA and are following up with photos from the multi-layered event.
It began with a Meet & Greet at MTA’s administrative offices followed by a walk to see the charging station for our electric buses, Sparky and Bolt. Afterwards, we rode to the Terminal Station on Sparky and also, on Alfred, to maintain proper distancing. There Senator Ossoff announced $16 million for transit in Bibb County via the new infrastructure bill.
The Senator ended the visit by taking questions from the media and safely mingling with the people who gathered to welcome him to Macon and hear him speak.
