On August 25, MTA’s CEO, Craig Ross served as one of 11 panelists for Georgia Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols’ Clean Energy RoadShow Webinar.

Echols hosted the RoadShow from the Peachtree Corners Curiosity Lab in Atlanta. The facility is considered one of the state’s premier tech incubators.

Panelists discussed the funding of their clean energy projects around the peach state. MTA was only 1 of 6 transit systems to win the top prize of $1.75 million and the only transit system in Georgia awarded a grant. The $1.1 million charging station was built last fall and winter for the two new electric buses set to arrive early this fall.

Stay tuned for their arrival! The charging station was paid for with SPLOST funds (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax). Thank you Macon-Bibb County. Lots happening in transit in our city! Charging Station Statistics: 59 loads of concrete; 6 inches thick; 31,693 square feet; 587 cubic yards.
