Big congratulations today! MTA is grateful for great partners! Thank you Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and WorkSource Development for helping MTA recruit bus operators, other employees, and mitigators.

Thank you CGTC’s Andrea Griner, V.P. for Economic Development & Ann Lear, Director of Continuing Education; Tiffany Andrews, Director of WorkSource Development and Howard Scott, Special Projects Coordinator. MTA appreciates all of you and your organizations! Our partnership and friendship with CGTC and WorkSource dates back to November 2019 with CGTC and January 2020 with WorkSource.

Several months ago, through our partnership, MTA’s Safety & Training Manager, Darrell Lester, completed a “train the trainer” course enabling him to train bus operators with a CDL to earn their “P” endorsement. A “P” endorsement is necessary to operate a fixed route bus.

On Saturday, October 16, Jasmine Flemming became the first person to earn her “P” endorsement under Darrell’s guidance. Congratulations Jasmine, Darrell, Andrea, Ann & TIffany!

Also, thank you Tiffany Andrews and Howard Scott at WorkSource for MTA mitigators. Seen here, along with Jasmine, Stephen Thigpen, a mitigator who has worked with MTA at the Transfer Station for 3 months, and J.C. Jackson, for 2 months. Welcome aboard Jasmine, who will get a $1,500 signing bonus, and to Stephen and J.C. Jackson. We’re happy to have you as part of the MTA family.

MTA’s newest fixed route bus operator,
Jasmine Flemming.
